The ACCSM is committed to promoting the highest standard of patient care, lifelong learning, research, and helping cosmetic surgery proceduralists contribute to the very best health care for patients.
Providing a training environment that is supportive of trainee needs and meets the training curriculum and regulatory requirements is a shared responsibility of the College, training practices, preceptors, and trainees.
All trainees are trained within an accredited private practice.
Gaining Practice Accreditation
The ACCSM Cosmetic Surgery Training Program Accreditation Policy and Procedure applies to practices seeking and holding accreditation for cosmetic surgery training.
The accreditation procedure oversees the management of the ACCSM Accreditation Policy and clearly identifies the roles, responsibilities, and processes for the accreditation of training practices for the cosmetic surgery training program.
Training Practices are assessed against a set of standards, which set out to ensure that a minimum standard is available to support the delivery of training and the needs of trainees.
